Speakers
Tony Roberts
Head of Business and Public Sector Wales, Vodafone Business
Tony has 25 years experience of the commercialisation of digital technologies and of telecommunications at Panasonic, BT, EE and Vodafone Business. He previously held roles at the heart of the digital platform revolution: as RingCentral UK Senior Director for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS); as 1NCE Sales Director expanding their IoT market share; and for TeamViewer where he was responsible for the development of custom AR solutions for frontline workers in the UK and Nordics.
Andrew Moore
Chief Delivery Officer, Co-founder HAL24K-Water
Andrew’s background is a mixture of delivery, customer management, engineering, partner management, commercial awareness and leading teams to deliver significant results. Day to day Andrew communicates across all levels of organisations including board level.
Andrew works internationally and now lives in Oxfordshire. He is originally local to the area having grown up in Pedmore and Stourbridge.

Sherif Elsayed-Ali
Carbon Re, Co-founder and CEO
Sherif Elsayed-Ali is CEO and Co-Founder of Carbon Re, an AI and climate tech start-up developing solutions to decarbonise cement, steel and other energy intensive industries. He previously set up and led the AI for Climate practice at Element AI, co-founded and led Amnesty Tech, was a World Economic Forum global future council co-chair and a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Sherif has a BSc in construction engineering from the American University in Cairo and an MPA from Harvard.
Paul Brodrick
Business Development Director, Siemens plc
Paul is Business Development Director for Siemens working in both the Smart Infrastructure and Siemens Advanta businesses in the UK. He is driving Digital Transformation by co-creating new business models and Digital Services in partnership with Customers. Enabled by the Siemens ADV capability and utilising Siemens extensive and diverse divisional portfolio Paul is developing new solutions for the Digital Age.
He is a key player in the emerging digital and smart city markets and a disruptive agent of change. With a proven track record of creating and winning truly innovative projects he has a unique breadth of experience across Utility, IT, Communications, Technology and SME sectors creating and delivering successful projects across these verticals.
Before joining Siemens Paul was Managing Director of a start-up developing sustainable smart energy projects. Prior to that he was the Business Development Director for Utilities at Cable & Wireless Worldwide and also spent 10 years at ELEXON where he managed the wholesale electricity market.
Dr Alex Bak
Co-founder and CEO of LightFi
Alex is experienced in sensor driven building automation, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and air quality monitoring. With past experience in Management Consulting focusing on behavioural change management and corporate innovation, his mission is to accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency measures and drastically reduce carbon emissions.
Alex is experienced in client relations, building automation, data science and IoT hardware design. Alex graduated from University of Oxford with a degree in Physics and has a PhD in Quantum Metamaterials from Imperial College.
Virginie Vinel Kolovos (Facilitator)
Carbon Limiting Technologies
Virginie is a senior Coach, EMCC EIA accredited, with 26 years’ experience as a B2B innovation commercialisation consultant for Apple, Analog Devices, Compaq, IBM, Texas Instrument. In the past 6 years, she has been coaching leaders from 45 SMEs with SaaS, PaaS, AI, machine learning, blockchain, VR, IoT and other technologies and digital solutions to transform their clients’ business in water, energy, manufacturing and beyond.
